Below you will find a link to an interesting video I just watched where the guy compares a 2018 ProV1 ball to the 1998 Titleist Professional 90 golf ball. The test results might just surprise some of you, especially those of you that believe that todays golf balls are making older golf courses opsolete due to todays balls going so much farther. Another interesting factor is that the 1998 ball has been sitting around for 20 years, and we have been told many times that golf balls DRY out and get harder over time and they don't perform as well as they do when brand new. Watch the video listed below and let me know what you think when you get a chance.
One thing I know that I will be doing after watching this video is that I will be digging out some of the 15 year old MaxFli Tour balls that I picked up back then for $12.50 a dozen on close-out and give them a new home and life in my bag. I loved that ball but figured they would NOT perform as well as new balls dut to sitting around and geting old and past their prime. Since both the balls and I have aged the same amount over those 15 years, I guess we are both past our prime, so maybe we will be a good fit togeher.
