Greg Norman injured! recovering from a chain saw accident that nearly cost him his left hand

Greg Norman is recovering from a chain saw accident that nearly cost him his left hand, but not his sense of humor.

"At least I can still play tennis," Norman said in a telephone interview Sunday morning. Thank God the blade wasn't running full speed or it would have taken my hand off.

Norman, the Hall of Fame golfer and entrepreneur, was cutting back trees in his South Florida home when the weight of a branch pulled his left hand toward the chain saw. He said the blade hit him just below where a person would be wearing a wrist watch. He said doctors told him it missed his artery by a fraction of an inch.

"Thank God the blade wasn't running full speed or it would have taken my hand off," Norman said. "I handled everything as calmly as I could. There is no major damage. There is nerve damage, but no muscular damage. They fixed me up and here I am."

I hope he get's well soon

That had to be one very scary event. Can't imagine what it must have been like to have that happen. I have used a chain saw enough to know how fast they can cut wood, let alone human tissue. He's lucky he was close to home and was able to call for help. Wouldn't take too long to bleed out with a cut wrist.

Putting is easy if you have the Right Putter.

Any Updates on Greg?

Has anyone read any updates on Greg Normans injuries? Just wondering how bad he cut his wrist. Any of you Golf Channel watchers have any news on Greg? Nothing in the local paper, but that's not a surprise.

Last I heard was no severe

Last I heard was no severe nerve damage and expected to make a full recovery. So i imagine that (and the news around it) will be slow to come out.
