Jordan wins # three of four major events

I watched the OPEN this weekend and loved the ending on the fourth and final day. Jordan hit a TERRIBLE tee shot that went a good 100 yards off to the right of his target. That lead to a bogey after a un-playable. That put him at 7 under and ONE shot behind the lead. Then he hits an ARROW on the next tee shot which was on a par 3 and just miessed getting a hole in one. Birdie on that hole. Next hole he hits more good shots and mades a very long  putt for Eagle, so now he's up by 2. Then he birdied the last hole and wins by 3. So after losing the lead for the first time after day 1, he plays the last four holes in 5 under and wins the thrid leg in the battle to win all four majors at least once, all at the age of only 23. With the PGA Championship coming up in a few weeks, he has a chance to win the fourth major and join a very elite group of golfer to have won all four major in their career.

I feel Sorry for Matt Kucher

Matt Kucher was trying to win his First major after playing on tour for 16 years. He has come very close a few times in the past but this was his best chance to pull oof a win and end the drought. He started off the day 3 shots behind and played excellent golf to fight off Jordan hole by hole, and even managed to pull even and then one ahead after Jordan bogied 14 on Sunday. Then Jordan birdie 15 to pull back to even and then 2 ahead after an Eagle on 16, followed by two more birdies on 17 and 18 for the victory. It was hard to watch Matt Kucher at the award ceremony as he had tears in his eyes, he felt so bad not winning his first major after a hard days battle. He shot a 3 under round of 69 and couldn't move up at all. He played excellent golf and it just wasn't enough at tne end. Have to feel sorry for the guy, and I have to give him credit for the way he handled himself all day under the pressure, especially when we all know how much it all meant to him to win a major in his 16th year on tour. IT was nice to see Jordan talk so well about the way Matt handled himself duriing and after the round saying how much of a gentleman he was in how he behaved, especially after the 25 minutes he had to wait while Jordan figured out what to do after his wayward tee shot on 14 that forced Matt to wait 25 minutes out on the course.  It was also nice to see Jordan Spieth walk up to Matt on the 14th green and apoligize for the 25 minute delay in play. They both showed the world what good Sportsmen they are they both earned the respect of all golfers and athletes around the world.
