K-MOTION Unveils Software Updates to Further Enhance Revolutionary Swing Training System

State-of-the-art Changes Create More Intuitive and Dynamic Practice

(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) K-MOTION - the industry leader in wearable, motion-sensing athletic training – has released K-VEST 7.7 and K-PLAYER 1.7 to further enhance customer experience and make it easier than ever for instructors and students to reap the immense benefits associated with golf’s leading biofeedback system.

The new software introduces the My Bag feature to create the optimal swing setup for each club in the bag. Using sensors accurate to within a fraction of a degree, K-VEST and K-PLAYER instantly capture posture, alignment and side bend, using advanced algorithms and patented biofeedback to create the ideal setup for every club.

Once a customized setup is achieved, the My NEXT Swing feature generates pre-loaded programs to guide the player through the swing position-by-position for a dynamic practice experience. My NEXT Swing allows students to feel what PGA Tour players feel from start to finish.

To help golfers obtain the correct setup and movement, K-VEST 7.7 and K-PLAYER 1.7 use Motion Arrows to direct them toward the correct positions. These visual cues allow users to understand the advanced biofeedback the system provides and improve their golf swing by simply following the arrows.

“Too many data-driven tools in sports stop at the numbers. Our team is fixated on understanding the numbers and translating them into actionable biofeedback training programs so athletes learn through feels," says K-MOTION CEO Michael Chu. “K-VEST 7.7 and K-PLAYER 1.7 are the next step in our commitment to revolutionizing athletic training.”

The software release also introduces Auto-Capture, a hands-free method to record and analyze multiple swings in a matter of seconds, and an improved reliability package for better Bluetooth connection, self-diagnosis and auto-repair.

Currently, seven of the Top-10 U.S. golf instructors, recognized by Golf Digest’s 2016 Best Teachers in America rankings, use K-MOTION products. Over the past twelve months, K-MOTION has begun working with numerous professional sports organizations, including teams from Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League. K-MOTION products are also being utilized in fitness and physical therapy to ensure better training and faster recovery.

K-MOTION will be hosting a webinar to demonstrate the benefits of K-VEST 7.7 and K-PLAYER 1.7, with a focus on how altering side bend at address can change ball flight. The webinar is scheduled for September 19, 11:30-12:30 p.m. EDT. Those interested can sign up here.

Golf-Tec uses something like

Golf-Tec uses something like this for all of their training lessons in their indoor studios. I would think buying this system and using it with the software provided might be an even better way to improve your game over a period of time. Taking lessons can add up in cost, so buying your own system might work out to be a better value and you could practice with the system as much as you like, not just once a week or so. I'm in the process of setting up a demo or the K-Vest and K=Player at a near by golf course, and will let you know what I find out.

Demo session set up

have a DEMO session set up with a rep of the K-Motion system. Date is set for next Wednesday Sept 27th at 3:00PM at a local driving range. So I will get back to you after my 1 hour demo session. Should be fun and interesting to see what the system is like to use.
