Phil Mickleson wins after long dry spell

I have been watching the golf on TV this year, and one thing that stood out was how WELL Phil has been playing this year. He has NOT won on tour since he won the British Opne a few years back. but he has been playing very well this year, with more than one or two top 5 finishes. He ended up in a 4 way tie for second a few weeks back as I recall. He was tied for second again this week after 3 rounds, ONE back of the leader. Sunday went very well for Phil and he won for the first time in 101 starts on tour. It was good to have him finish it off and win again. Way to go Phil.

Agree Don. I was happy for

Agree Don. I was happy for Phil to put it together.  I wish he had made those last two putts..he missed them by the smallest of margins . But glad he won

How about Tiger..played pretty good this week.

I saw that Tiger was only two

I saw that Tiger was only two back going into the weekend in Florida. It will be fun to see if he can hang in and finish well and maybe even win for a change.

Well he finished 2nd...just

Well he finished 2nd...just didn't hit the ball close enough on several approach shots to have a chance for birdies.  His birdie putt on 17 was like the old Tiger - when he has to have it .. he finds away.

But i could not believe Reed 3 putted 18 to miss a playoff.  I mean yes it was not an easy putt but you can't do what he did and leave it short and have it roll back at you.  Wow.

I think Snedefer did the same

I think Snedefer did the same thing a few minutes later when his putt came up way short and ran down the about the same place Reed's ball did. NOT GOOD, especially for a tour pro like these guys. I felt a little bad for Reed, but happy for Pual Casey wiht his second tour win in the U.S. Lots of win in Europe but only his second in the US. Tiger did pretty good on Sunday, and he just didn't play as well as he did the first 3 days. Will be interesting to see what's next for his game in the coming weeks. I assume he will be in the field at the Masters in April. Have not heard one way or the other so far.
