Watching the Women's British Open final

and the best US player is Christie Kerr, finishing -1 Par for the event a solid 10 shots off the pace.  Not a great showing for the Americans.

J Y Ko, I. Park and L. Ko are on top of the leaderboard...right now unless something happens, it doesn't look like it'll be a close finish as KO has a 3 stroke lead about half way through the final round.

Shows what I know...ha..

Shows what I know...ha..   Park plays a terrific back 9 and eagles #14 or 15 to get within 1 and then J Y Ko runs into trouble down the stretch and can't match Park.

Park shoots 65 and now has completed the Career Grand Slam for Women's golf, which is 4 of 5 Majors.  7 have done that, but I'm not sure anyone's won the 5th  (which apparently would be called the Super Slam according to the TV guys) one as well, but I could be wrong.

Golf is a game that can only be played...

Women's British Open

I would have liked to watch some of this, but the TV coverage was usually 9am-11am or noon, and that didn't work for me. Caught the very end while I was at the gym today to find out about Inbee Park making a charge and winning. Judy Rankin said that when Inbee's putter is "on" there is nobody better on the greens, and she may be one of the best putters the LPGA ever had. Not the longest hitter, but solidy accurate and does not seem to be affected by nerves..."putt for dough" was never truer.

Lidia Ko is an American

Unless I'm wrong, I believe Lydia Ko is an American, with Korean heritage. So that means she is the highest finisher for the American. Even still, I think there were 3 out of the top 4 being Korean golfers, As Scott stated, NOT a good showing for the Americans as a whole., It's been this way for a number of years now, and it's not getting any brightter on the horzone. I can't help but wonder how long the American sponsors of the LPGA tour will continue to put up money that ends up in Korea.

Putting is easy if you have the Right Putter.
