The Ping i3s have low-profile steel heads and come in lofts of 12, 14, 17, 20 and 23 degrees. They are made with the high quality material for which Ping is known. The shafts are by Aldila and come in flexes for X, R, A, and L.
I had trouble hitting my Callaway Steelhead Plus 3 wood and was looking for something to hit high and straight. These clubs do that. They have straight/onset and are the best fairway woods I have played. I use these woods to replace the long irons in my bag. The 3 wood is almost as long as my driver, and the 5 wood is terrific from any lie.
These clubs are straight ball hitting clubs and may not be as forgiving as some bigger headed clubs. But,there is very little to dislike about the Ping i3s.
You need to know which Ping wood is for you based on your ability and physicality, so hit and get fitted before you buy. If you have trouble hitting long irons or your 3 wood give these clubs a look. I hope you like them as much as I do. Good Luck.
