Taylor Made have over recent years really upped their game in relation to build quality, and this club shows that commitment.A well made, solid construction, which feels and looks solid, maybe the head cover could have had more thought though...it is somewhat cheap/nasty.
I have tried and disliked the Nike Str8 Fit adjustable driver...not because it didnt deliver, because it did, however the sound was really offputting.I prefer a club that sounds solid, with a nice crack into the ball, the TM R9 definitely delivers that. The head feels more stable than the Nike through the ball, and a clean, crisp strike really feels just more solid.Thats not to rubbish the Nike though..it was a nice easy club to use, and strike well, it simply got rather wearing noise wise.
Nothing at this point...ask me in 6 months when my game has gone!!!
A really effective design, for me anyway...it delivers, and up to now has not let me down, more fairways equals more fun golf...isnt that what we play for??
